When thinking about seating design at your restaurant, consider the customer experience first. Depending on your menu and style of dishes, is your customer coming in for a quick bite before a night out? Or are they coming for a relaxed dinner over a long overdue chat? The seating will need to reflect this, so if your customers are likely to hang around for a bit longer, make sure your seating is comfortable and able to accomodate a more comfortable experience. It is this attention to detail that will help bring customers back to you again and again. Fireworks are going mental round here as everyone is celebrating Bonfire night! We took the kids to watch a display locally over the weekend and it was fantastic, though I have to say I am not a huge fan. The environment could do without it at all as well as most pets I should assume! Preparations are underway for Diwali in a couple of days, this is my favourite time of year, not just because of all the yummy food, but the lights and beautiful colours really feed my soul! Snapped this @monikerartfair as it really moved me. The piece by @kaili_smithart depicts children in traditional regal style with an accessory to point at the type of life they are leading. Children show a strength in times of adversity that most never get to see. Last week saw mental health awareness day and the international day of the girl, I felt like I wanted to post something, but my fear is that the awareness lasts a day, week, even a month, but the mental health of children is so important it needs awareness every day. Art has the power to start the conversation, to create awareness every day, to highlight the forgotten issues. The change needs to happen through every individual. Whether or not you have kids, do your part to create a better future for them. To that girl wanting to be a princess and a doctor. Go for it and dont let anything stop you. To my daughter that wants a world free of cruelty while she blows stuff up in a lab. I dont know how it will work but I know you will do whatever you set your mind to! I thought I would share some facts about me: 1. I LOVE the colour blue (no lie!) 2. I make the most amazing cheesecake! 3. I kill all plants apart from aloes. Whats that about? 4. I love seeing new things no matter how insane. I will always find sonething I like in everything. 5. I dislike housework. A LOT 6. I never thought id have kids (but I now have 2!) 7. Meeting new people scares the crap out of me! 8. I practice what im going to say before I pick up the phone. EVERY TIME! 9.I always wanted to help people and thought id be a doctor in order to do it. Turns out I cant stand seeing peoples sadness. So that didnt work! 10. I chose 4 different pictures of me which I scrapped because I hate photos, before choosing this one. Colours and neons are just so much sexier!! I am far from perfect. I acknowledge my flaws more than my strengths. But I am eternally grateful to have this life, to have the opportunity to make a difference in the world. Its crap not to be ok. But there is always hope that things will be ok. I went to visit the ncredible exhibit by Chris Levine called "inner Space". The intention being to help bring people back into their inner thoughts and harmonise them. He uses laser beams and music in the form pf sound frequencies to really focus your mind. I find it incredibly difficult to meditate. With the business, home, kids and a gazillion creative thoughts its soo tough to just be still. But I can happily say for at least 10 minutes there all I did was fascinate over the shapes the lasers were creating. Pondering the universe and how minute I am in comparison. Walking down Brick Lane is such a sensory experience. The smell of currys, the hugely multicultural scene and the amazing street art that always blows me away. I dont go there often but each visit feels so different.
